    Discouraged because good clients are few and far in-between? No sweat.

    Your family is laughing behind your back because you haven't MADE IT yet? Stay strong.

    Start by celebrating your successes, no matter how small. Finally finished that goal? Pat yourself on the back. Exercised for the first time in months? You deserve a spa treatment. Continually remind yourself how wonderful, how creative, how special you really are. You have a purpose in this world.

    Drown out negative comments, from others and your own consciousness, with positive self-affirmations.

    Learn to accept compliments. When someone says, "I love your shoes!" You may think to announce, "Thanks. But the heel is cracking." But just say, "Thank you." It's good even to conversate positively... "Aren't they adorable? Can you believe I only paid $25 at Macy's?..."
